Full Program Coming in Late September ~

Sannu! Ndeewo! Welcome! Amedi! Kaabo!

Plantain Sugar is a free, family-style celebration of the sweetness of being Nigerian, in recognition of our 66th year of independence.

It is a day to gather around the things that make us, us: our food, music, languages, stories, art, fashion, traditions, and the many ways we carry Nigeria with us.

We’ll celebrate the Nigerian excellence growing right here in Arizona, creating space for Nigerian artists, performers, makers, businesses, while honoring the richness of the cultures that make up Nigeria.

More than anything, this is about being together and the many different ways we experience being Nigerian.

Come eat, listen, learn, dance, remember, discover something new, and celebrate with us. All are welcome.
